Best Casinos Not on Gamstop in 2025: Complete Guide for UK Players

Gamstop is a UK program that allows individuals to voluntarily exclude themselves from online gambling. It aims to help those with gambling issues by preventing them from accessing UK-based online casinos and betting sites. Users agree to this exclusion, which blocks their access even if they try to create new accounts. The goal of Gamstop is to prevent enrolled users from accessing any gambling sites during their self-exclusion period, which can last from six months to five years. During this time, users also won’t receive promotional materials from these gambling platforms to reduce their temptation to gamble.

Offshore welcome bonuses run considerably larger than anything UKGC-licensed operators can legally offer. A 100% match capped at £100 is standard on regulated UK sites; offshore operators routinely advertise 200% to 500% matches, sometimes with free spins stacked on top. The maths looks attractive — but the terms attached to those headline figures are where the real comparison happens. UKGC-licensed operators have been barred from accepting credit cards since April 2020. Offshore sites face no equivalent restriction, meaning Visa and Mastercard credit cards remain valid deposit methods at most of them. For players who manage gambling spend through a credit account, this is a concrete functional difference, not a marketing claim.
